What/Who is Rodie-Keintz?

Rodie-Keintz is in fact the last names of two exemplary individuals who have made a dramatic contribution to Region 13 and their respective ACUI Member institutions.

Monika Rodie is the Associate Director of the Shepherd Student Union at Weber State University. She has been involved in the Association of College Unions International for most of her career in the college union field, serving for four years as the Regional Director for Region 13 from 1997-2001. Rodie championed new professional issues and programs during her years as the Regional Director. The New Professional Development Series was implemented as a part of the Regional Conference and Rodie personally served on a regional committee for the development of new professional programs for five years. Her vision and commitment have kept the new professional program as a premiere program of ACUI Region 13.

Brian Keintz was the Associate Director of the University of Arizona Student Unions at the University of Arizona. He had been a part of the Region 13 Leadership Team for ten years working at two other institutions in Region 13, including Colorado State University and the University of Wyoming. Keintz had been a strong advocate for new professional programs within Region 13 since 1992 when he began working at the University of Wyoming. Keintz designed, with the new professional committee, the New Professional Development Series for the 1997 Regional Conference and had been a part of planning and delivering this program every year. He served on the Conference Program Team for the 2001 ACUI conference in Albuquerque, NM where he led the effort to put the new professionals program in place at a national level.
